Senior Transmission Line Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create designs for overhead transmission lines utilizing LiDAR modeling, sag-tension calculations, pole placement, and right-of-way assessments.

• Model structures and frameworks for steel, concrete, wood, and FRP monopoles, including components such as insulators and arms.

• Conduct routing and optimization for intricate rebuilds, pole replacements, and distribution feeder adjustments.

• Perform pole loading analysis to guarantee that all designs comply with NESC and utility standards.

• Generate engineering deliverables, which include plan profiles, framing drawings, specifications, and quantity bills.

• Carry out site visits and feasibility assessments to address technical challenges and perform inspections during construction phases.

• Offer technical oversight by evaluating subcontractor designs and mentoring junior staff and drafters.

• Oversee project logistics, including support for tendering, documentation, and adherence to budget and schedule.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and clients, including short-term travel as necessary.

• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to meet business demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.

• Over 10 years of cumulative experience in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector.

• Demonstrated experience in designing towers for Transmission Lines of 400 kV and higher.

• Specific expertise in 765 kV tower design is highly desirable.

• Experience in underground cabling for 132 kV and above.

• Strong proficiency in T-Line and tower design software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER).

• Fluent in English with the capability to work effectively with remote team members.
