Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer – Offshore Substations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of offshore substation projects through intricate functional testing, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and commissioning activities.

• Conduct visual inspections of systems in accordance with project specifications and technical guidelines.

• Verify documentation, drawings, and circuit diagrams for accuracy and alignment with the actual installation.

• Inspect terminal connections.

• Carry out walk-through and protection tests following project guidelines.

• Provide support for complex system tests (e.g., high voltage testing, 380 V measurements, etc.).

• Perform advanced functional tests, especially source-sink tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Technician certification in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.

• Willingness to travel for business purposes.

• Solid practical and theoretical understanding of control and telecontrol technology.

• Proficiency in primary and secondary systems within high-voltage installations.

• Familiarity with standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, DIN, BGV).

• Knowledge of construction and engineering guidelines.

• Basic understanding of electrical engineering and measurement technology.

• Grasp of communication protocols and bus systems.

• Advanced knowledge of measurement techniques.

• Capability to analyze IP and serial protocols.

• Skilled in parameterization, evaluation, and testing software.

• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and functional schematics.

• Current SCC certificate (Safety Certificate Contractors).

• Qualification as an electrical skilled individual (minimum EuP).

• Valid offshore medical certificate.

• Certification in sea survival training.

• Working at Heights certification.

• First Aid certification.

• Training in fire awareness.

• Manual handling training.
