Senior Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement risk-oriented testing strategies;

• Collaborate with the team to create Test Plans and Test Strategies based on an analysis of the deliverables scheduled for a software development project;

• Create a Requirements vs. Tests Traceability Matrix;

• Engage in AS-IS analysis and define TO-BE states;

• Analyze and validate business requirements to ensure the proper application of testing principles and methodologies;

• Develop and maintain test cases following the BDD (Behavior Driven Development) standard;

• Execute manual test cases while ensuring proper evidence collection to fulfill project requirements;

• Record and track defects and failures identified during testing activities;

• Oversee quality control policies and procedures;

• Identify, assess, propose, and implement solutions to quality issues through root cause analysis and prevention strategies;

• Evaluate opportunities for improvement to enhance quality processes and foster a delivery-quality mindset within the team;

• Gather and analyze data to assess product performance against established quality benchmarks;

• Generate reports encompassing key quality metrics such as defects, test coverage, quality risks, etc.;

• Utilize test automation tools to enhance testing efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of testing fundamentals (techniques and strategies);

• Strong understanding of defining quality entry and exit criteria (DoR/DoD);

• Comprehensive knowledge of risk-based testing strategies;

• Familiarity with various test types and levels;

• Requirements analysis capability: ability to interpret and validate software requirement specifications outlined in a user story;

• Significant experience employing BDD to create and modify test cases, both functional and non-functional;

• Proficient in manual testing of REST/SOAP APIs utilizing Postman;

• Skilled in manual testing of applications (apps);

• Experienced with issue/control platforms (Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Mantis);

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban;

• Experience in preparing status reports.

• Nice to have:

• Experience in data validation and reconciliation across environments;

• Experience in system migrations;

• Familiarity with Oracle Retail and/or ERP/Supply Chain/Retail systems;

• Participation in AS-IS analysis and defining TO-BE states;

• Knowledge of building and maintaining a Traceability Matrix (Requirements-Tests);

• Understanding of retail business processes (inventory, pricing, supply, sales);

• Software quality certifications;

• Familiarity with Robot Framework and Python;

• Proficiency in a programming language (Python, Java, C#, Ruby, etc.);

• Experience in automated testing of REST and SOAP APIs;

• Familiarity with automation frameworks (Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Requests/RestAssured, Sikuli, Espresso/XCUITest);

• Proficient in code versioning using Git.
