This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, replacements, reassemblies, and tests on Truss Drivers, installation equipment, machinery, vehicles, and supporting equipment.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, servicing, and operational checks.
• Execute on-site metal fabrication, welding, and related repair work.
• Identify faults utilizing diagnostic equipment, digital testing tools, calibration devices, schematics, operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Operate and test equipment post-repair to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
• Offer technical assistance to customer mechanics, field teams, and site operations personnel.
• Document maintenance and repair activities in MaintainX, capturing equipment hours, issues, parts used, travel, and completed work.
• Assist Machine Development, Product Development, and Field Applications Engineering teams by providing field feedback for product and equipment enhancements.
• Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards while fostering a safe work environment.
• Manage assigned equipment, tools, vehicles, parts, and company assets effectively.
• Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested.
• Trade qualification is required; Diesel Fitter qualification is preferred.
• Experience in construction or job sites, particularly with heavy machinery or similar equipment; experience with drill rigs is highly desirable.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, controls, encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLCs, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment diagnostics, including platforms like CAT, Cummins, or similar.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
• Exhibit sound judgment, responsible decision-making, professionalism, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work autonomously without constant supervision.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and effective verbal and written communication abilities for both internal and external audiences.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Have a current construction White Card.
• Preference for experience maintaining drilling rigs, automated installation equipment, or specialized foundation installation equipment.
• Preference for experience supporting customer technicians, field service teams, or remote project operations.
• Strong digital skills, including using digital platforms to accurately document maintenance, repair, diagnostic, and asset information.
• Understanding of workshop operations, QA/QC processes, and HSE compliance requirements is preferred.
