• Develop and maintain comprehensive API documentation for TypeScript, Python, and Go SDKs, including method signatures, parameters, error codes, and annotated code examples.
• Create conceptual guides that elucidate the DNSid trust model, the agent lifecycle, the DNS record schema, and the verification flow tailored for developers from AI, platform-engineering, and identity backgrounds.
• Generate integration tutorials for major frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, Microsoft Agent Framework, LlamaIndex, and OpenAI Agents SDK, alongside MCP servers, A2A, and edge runtimes, featuring validated working code samples against the current SDK.
• Oversee the DNSid developer portal comprehensively: managing information architecture, navigation, search functionalities, and guiding new developers from their first visit to a successful agent registration.
• Organize and publish documentation to be AI-friendly, including well-structured llms.txt files, machine-readable API references, and content that is effectively surfaced through AI coding assistants like Codex, Claude, and Cursor, as many developers encounter DNSid through these tools prior to accessing the portal.
• Assist in drafting the technical standards for DNSid, utilizing IETF drafts and engineering notes.
• Maintain changelogs and release notes for each SDK version, translating engineering differences into clear statements of impact for developers.
• Document features prior to release by participating in design reviews, analyzing PRs, and posing questions that highlight gaps early in the process.
• Collaborate with Developer Advocates to ensure tutorials and guides address areas of confusion reported by developers, based on community feedback and support trends.
• Establish documentation style guidelines, templates, and a review process, ensuring they remain effective as the integration surface expands.
• Validate every documentation code sample in CI against the latest TypeScript, Python, and Go SDKs, working with engineering on setup to ensure examples remain current as APIs evolve.
• Clearly version documentation across specification drafts and SDK releases, performing regular audits for accuracy in relation to current standards and SDKs.
• Actively exemplify and promote Identity Digital's core values through daily interactions, behaviors, and decision-making.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical writing within a developer platform, API-centric company, or standards-driven organization.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient in reading IETF RFCs and translating specifications into precise, developer-friendly prose without requiring assistance from engineers.
• Experience in writing API reference documentation for at least two programming languages; familiarity with TypeScript, Python, or Go is highly advantageous.
• A portfolio showcasing at least one large-scale developer documentation project: an SDK, platform API, protocol implementation guide, or equivalent.
• Capable of writing functional, executable code samples in at least one of TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Comprehensive understanding of DNS fundamentals (TXT records, domain names, zone files, TTLs) and HTTP identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC) sufficient to write accurately about DNSid's anchoring model without extensive engineering review.
• Experience in managing a developer portal or documentation site, including its information architecture and toolchain choices (Docusaurus, Mintlify, Read the Docs, or similar).
• Strong instincts regarding information hierarchy; capable of determining where content belongs—whether in a reference page, conceptual guide, or tutorial—and structuring it so developers can find answers promptly.
• Familiarity with docs-as-code workflows: Git, pull-request reviews for documentation, CI checks on code samples, and versioned documentation associated with SDK releases.
• Knowledge of AI-friendly documentation patterns: llms.txt, structured API references, and formats that are accurately surfaced through AI coding assistants and retrieval-based tools.
• Experience in writing changelogs and release notes that effectively communicate developer impact rather than merely listing commits.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones as part of a global organization as necessary.
• Generously subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• Company contributions to Health Savings Accounts.
• Company-paid life and disability insurance.
• Option to participate in employee-paid supplemental life, accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and accident insurance.
• 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match.
• 15 days of paid vacation per year, increasing to 20 days after one year.
• 5 days of paid sick leave.
• 13 paid holidays.
• 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, 12 weeks for others.
• Opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
