Senior Technical UI – Motion Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of UI motion and interactions from initial concept through to final implementation in Unity.

• Create and execute high-quality UI animations, transitions, feedback, and interaction states.

• Rapidly prototype interactions and explore various solutions.

• Develop production-ready UI and animations directly within Unity.

• Work alongside UI/UX designers and engineers to realize design concepts.

• Enhance game feel by improving motion, timing, feedback, and responsiveness.

• Create reusable and efficient UI animation patterns, components, and systems.

• Refine designs based on team feedback, playtests, and live data insights.

• Guide features from creative concept through interactive prototype to production-ready Unity execution.

• Collaborate with UI/UX Designers, Game Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, and Art Direction to define interaction behaviors and deliver the desired user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in technical UI, UI animation, motion design, or a similar role, preferably within mobile gaming.

• A robust portfolio or reel showcasing exceptional UI motion and interaction design.

• Extensive hands-on experience in building and animating UI within Unity.

• Capability to transform an idea from prototype to a polished, production-ready implementation.

• Thorough understanding of motion and animation principles, including timing, easing, feedback, and transitions.

• Familiarity with motion design tools like After Effects, Spine, Rive, or similar.

• Strong grasp of Unity UI workflows and technical limitations.

• Ability to maintain a balance between visual quality, performance, and system consistency.

• Solid foundation in visual design principles, especially in composition, hierarchy, readability, and feedback.

• Proven experience in effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent collaboration skills and proficiency in English.
