This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Deliver expert technical guidance and leadership in the support of high-performance electron microscopy and analytical systems.
• Address complex challenges and provide support to team members.
• Execute initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
• Integrate remote and on-site technical assistance, collaborating with global teams to ensure peak system performance and customer satisfaction.
• Act as a vital technical liaison among field service, R&D, operations engineering, and clients.
• Participate in new product launches and assist in the creation of technical documentation.
• Facilitate scientific advancements by supporting technologies that contribute to a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
• An associate degree or 5 years of relevant technical experience in Electron Microscopy, service, or an engineering position involving complex analytical or scientific instruments.
• Preferred academic backgrounds include Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of electron microscopy systems, especially SEM, TEM, or EFA technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities across various fields, including electronics, mechanics, optics, vacuum systems, and software.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proven project leadership and a track record of successfully completing technical projects.
• Experience in creating and delivering technical training and documentation.
• Demonstrated success in managing customer relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies.
• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with global teams.
• Proficient in remote support tools and digital technologies.
• Possession of a valid passport and readiness to travel 25-50% of the time, including internationally.
• Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Experience in mentoring and developing team members.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
