This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Become a part of our dynamic team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Technical Sales Specialist in Cell Culture, BioProduction, where you will contribute to revenue growth and customer success across our cutting-edge product lines.
• Utilize your technical knowledge and consultative sales skills to uncover opportunities, foster robust customer relationships, and provide solutions that drive transformative scientific advancements.
• Offer technical guidance during customer interactions, conduct product demonstrations, and act as a trusted advisor to assist customers in achieving their research and development objectives.
• Your efforts will play a vital role in supporting our mission to empower customers to create a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
• Bachelor's Degree along with 5+ years of technical sales experience in life sciences, analytical instruments, or related field application experience.
• A Master's Degree is preferred.
• Preferred areas of study include Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or other related scientific disciplines.
• Strong technical comprehension of pertinent scientific workflows and applications.
• Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders.
• Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles successfully.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Established relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Capacity to work efficiently within a matrix organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 50-75% (3 out of 5 days a week) within the designated territory.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of specific product technologies and workflows as required for the role.
• Experience presenting at scientific conferences and trade shows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to devise and execute territory plans.
• Proven capability to collaborate across various functions.
• Experience in supporting and developing fellow team members.
• Strong focus on customer service.
