Senior Technical Recruiter – Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete hiring process for engineering positions within Lazer's Fintech division, from initial intake to signed offers.

• Collaborate directly with Cofounders and Fintech leadership to convert strategic goals into a clear, prioritized hiring plan.

• Engage in proactive sourcing. The standards are high, and a significant portion of our hires are sourced through outbound efforts, so you'll be actively involved in creating lists, crafting thoughtful outreach, and conducting sourcing sprints.

• Develop and manage interview loops that are efficient while maintaining quality, including creating rubrics and coaching interviewers.

• Leverage AI to enhance your productivity. Create sourcing agents, automate repetitive tasks, and continuously elevate your capabilities as a recruiter.

• Successfully close candidates with depth. Conduct reference checks, manage offer negotiations, and ensure the right candidates are secured.

• Provide market insights back to the business: compensation benchmarks, competitive intelligence, reasons for candidate losses, and suggestions for improvements.

• Contribute to shaping our hiring processes as we expand. The strategies you create will be applied throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of comprehensive technical recruiting experience focused on hiring software engineers, with a significant portion of that time spent in the crypto, fintech, or related financial infrastructure sectors (payments, lending, capital markets, embedded finance, financial data platforms).

• A diverse background that includes both in-house and agency or embedded search experience. You have successfully built pipelines within a product company and have also managed external searches, allowing you to excel in both environments.

• A strong desire to incorporate AI into your daily recruiting tasks, actively seeking tools such as sourcing agents, automated outreach, AI-assisted screening, and AI-assisted candidate preparation.

• Proficient in evaluating candidates on the technical side of AI as well. You can effectively assess engineers working with LLMs, agents, RAG, evaluations, and contemporary AI infrastructures.

• A genuine, extensive network of fintech engineering talent across the US and Canada that you can leverage from day one.

• An outstanding closer who can clearly communicate technical opportunities to discerning senior engineers and understand their true motivations.

• A straightforward, ego-free operator comfortable with ambiguity and a dynamic work environment.

• Excellent written communication skills. Your outreach resonates and garners responses because it feels personal and well-crafted rather than a generic template.
