Senior Technical Project Manager – Snowflake, Data Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery process of large-scale, scope-driven data platforms and cloud migration projects, from inception to completion.

• Provide technical guidance and serve as a liaison between engineering teams and client stakeholders, ensuring clarity on scope, timelines, and quality standards.

• Manage technical prerequisites and delivery readiness, including environment access, data ingestion configuration, CDC analysis, SLAs, and validation procedures.

• Facilitate stakeholder communication, risk management, issue resolution, and ensure milestone-based approvals.

• Lead and support cross-functional engineering teams through effective prioritization, performance management, and delivery governance.

• Take ownership of project financials, encompassing forecasting, cost management, approval of invoices, and management of scope changes.

• Create and deliver regular project status updates, showcasing progress, risks, dependencies, and essential metrics.

• Assist in pre-sales and growth efforts by contributing to estimations, delivery strategies, and planning for subsequent project phases.

• Collaborate with recruitment teams to aid in the hiring and onboarding process for specialized technical positions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of experience managing client-facing projects within complex delivery environments, with essential exposure to data migration.

• Demonstrated experience in leading data engineering, cloud migration, or enterprise platform transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of contemporary data platforms and engineering concepts, including Cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), Workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), Data transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt), Data quality and validation frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations), CDC, ingestion pipelines, and parallel run strategies.

• Substantial experience in managing large-scale, scope-focused projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at both technical and executive levels.

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, consistently demonstrating a track record of meeting deadlines.

• Proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

• Keen attention to detail in planning, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

• Experience working collaboratively with global, distributed teams.
