This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Lead forensic DNA validation and Rapid enablement projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery while exceeding customer expectations.
• Define the scope, timelines, and milestones for multiple concurrent projects.
• Collaborate with regional field teams and cross-functional partners (applications, IT, sales, and external vendors) to drive project execution.
• Assist in workflow design, system integration, and end-to-end verification for Rapid implementations within customer environments.
• Take ownership of validation deliverables, including data analysis and report writing, in accordance with forensic standards.
• Clearly communicate with customers and stakeholders to align expectations and sustain project momentum.
• Contribute to proposals, pricing recommendations, and risk assessments during pre-sales activities.
• Address technical and program-related challenges through structured problem-solving, applying lessons learned to avert future issues.
• Identify and implement enhancements that boost efficiency and consistency across projects.
• Foster strong working relationships within the global HPS team and the wider HID organization, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, influencing stakeholders to make timely and coordinated decisions.
• Ability to interpret and apply forensic DNA data (quantification, STR, and Rapid DNA) to project deliverables.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to create alignment across teams.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and delivering results on schedule.
• Customer-centric approach to understanding needs and providing solutions.
• Capability to navigate intricate, cross-functional environments and independently drive progress and decision-making.
• Highly organized, proactive, and consistently focused on process improvement.
• B.S. or M.S. in molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in a forensic DNA laboratory or a similar technical setting.
• More than 3 years of experience managing technical or scientific projects.
• Familiarity with forensic DNA workflows, validation requirements, and data interpretation.
• Experience in supporting forensic DNA customers through professional services or similar roles.
• PMP certification or formal project management training is preferred.
• Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar project management tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools is preferred.
• Experience in supporting Rapid DNA or complex workflow implementations is preferred.
