
Senior Technical Lead – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Establish the technical vision for AI systems, which includes shared AI SDKs, safeguards, evaluation frameworks, feedback systems, and agentic workflow infrastructure.
• Oversee the architecture and technical strategy for intricate backend and AI platform systems, from initial design through to production.
• Lead the technical design for complex, cross-functional initiatives, assessing trade-offs, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation.
• Write production code as an active hands-on contributor; this position does not delegate implementation tasks to others.
• Design and maintain LLM-powered systems, incorporating RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, evaluation infrastructure, safeguards, and model observability.
• Take full responsibility for the reliability of AI systems, from design to structured output delivery.
• Establish quality benchmarks.
• Advocate for and integrate AI-native development practices and tools, such as Cursor and Augment, to enhance productivity across the team.
• Promote a culture of rapid iteration, high velocity, and quality, including guiding the effective application of AI code generation.
• Mentor engineers, enhance the quality of technical decision-making, and assist the team in executing tasks consistently.
• Set coding standards, review practices, and architectural documentation that can scale as the team expands.
• Collaborate with recruiting to develop and grow the team.
• Work closely with Engineering Managers, Product, Design, and QA to convert requirements into actionable technical plans.
• Actively participate in design reviews and roadmap discussions with a practical, implementation-focused perspective.
• Manage most cross-team conflicts and technical decisions independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 10 to 12 years of experience in software development, encompassing building, integration, security, and architecture.
• Previous experience in developing enterprise-grade APIs is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a leadership role is beneficial.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python as the primary language.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, CSS frameworks, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres and MySQL.
• Knowledge of SQL database schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS, along with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and Apollo Server is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
