Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and scale our enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS/GKE) to guarantee high availability and performance across a vast array of clusters.

• Supervise automated continuous platform optimization, transitioning from manual tuning and human effort to scalable and automated resource management systems.

• Develop and oversee intelligent resource automation platforms that automate workload sizing, placement, and Karpenter configurations by default.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance teams to promote sustainable cost avoidance and alignment, advancing beyond retroactive cost-saving measures.

• Create, implement, and sustain robust CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and comprehensive observability tools for the Kubernetes ecosystem.

• Guide engineers and spearhead architectural initiatives to enhance platform resilience, security, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or SRE managing Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) at a large enterprise scale.

• Practical experience with intelligent resource automation platforms (e.g., ScaleOps) and automated scaling tools such as Karpenter.

• In-depth understanding of FinOps principles and experience in implementing cost avoidance strategies in a dynamic cloud-native setting.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu) and configuration management practices.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS/GCP cloud services, containerization technologies, and managing substantial compute resources.

• Outstanding cross-functional communication abilities with a proven record of aligning technical objectives with business and financial aims.
