Cloud Engineering Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the health, performance, and cost of GCP infrastructure utilizing Cloud Monitoring, BigQuery, and associated tools.

• Assist in the triage of incidents, manage tickets (Jira), and perform basic troubleshooting of cloud resources.

• Facilitate IAM access reviews, conduct security audits, and carry out compliance checks (e.g., exposure of public GCS buckets, role assignments across projects).

• Create and sustain operational dashboards and reports for stakeholders and team leaders.

• Aid in routine automation processes using Terraform, gcloud CLI, or Python/Bash scripting (e.g., lifecycle policies, IAM provisioning).

• Provide support for patching, backups, and basic configuration management tasks on GCE/GKE workloads.

• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain runbooks.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on escalations, change requests, and CSPM/security remediation items.

• Engage in an on-call rotation for basic L1/L2 support (as applicable).

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a cloud operations, IT infrastructure, or a role related to DevOps.

• Proficient understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP); familiarity with AWS or Azure is advantageous.

• Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, Cloud NAT).

• Basic familiarity with Linux server administration principles.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.

• Basic scripting abilities (Python or Bash).

• Understanding of ticketing/reporting systems (Jira or similar).

• Strong communication skills and the capability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
