Senior Technical Consultant – Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of enterprise storage solutions in both on-premises and cloud settings.

• Strategize and carry out file, object, and unstructured data migrations, along with technology refreshes and data mobility projects.

• Manage block storage migrations, which include interoperability analysis, LUN mapping, zoning, masking, multipathing validation, replication planning, cutover execution, rollback preparation, and post-migration validation.

• Architect and implement data center and cloud storage platforms such as Dell PowerMax/VMAX, PowerScale/Isilon, PowerStore, NetApp ONTAP and StorageGRID, Pure FlashArray and FlashBlade, Nasuni, and Cloudian.

• Design, configure, and implement SAN infrastructure utilizing Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switching.

• Provide support and resolve issues related to replication and business continuity technologies.

• Act as the primary technical lead during delivery engagements, customer meetings, cutovers, and escalations.

• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, sales teams, and customer stakeholders.

• Create solution designs, implementation plans, migration runbooks, as-built documentation, and materials for knowledge transfer.

• Mentor junior consultants to ensure delivery consistency, technical quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Enhance delivery methods through automation, reusable tools, documentation standards, and AI-enabled productivity solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in delivering enterprise storage infrastructure, professional services, or complex customer-facing consulting roles.

• Extensive experience with enterprise storage platforms, including Dell EMC PowerMax/VMAX, PowerScale/Isilon, Unity, PowerStore, Pure Storage, NetApp, Nasuni, and Cloudian.

• Proven track record in SAN design, deployment, migration, and interoperability analysis.

• Practical experience with unstructured data migration tools and techniques, including Komprise and DataDobi.

• Familiarity with migrating SMB and NFS workloads in multiprotocol environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of file, object, block, and cloud storage environments.

• Experience in designing and supporting storage solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in automation and scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across storage arrays, hosts, switches, connectivity layers, and backup ecosystems.

• Experience in supporting Windows, Linux, and virtualized infrastructure environments.

• Working knowledge of Active Directory and DNS as they pertain to storage and file services delivery.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong documentation capabilities, encompassing solution documentation, diagrams, implementation plans, and as-built deliverables.

• Experience leading technical workstreams independently on complex customer engagements.

• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Copilot.

• Relevant partner or vendor certifications in storage, SAN, cloud, or data mobility technologies.

• Experience in mentoring consultants and elevating delivery standards.
