• Collaborate closely with the Technical Art Director to design, develop, and support tools for content creation, animation, and pipelines both within and outside the engine using Python and/or C++.
• Develop assets and systems that require technical art expertise in the engine, including blueprints, material networks, control rigs, and performance optimization.
• Leverage your knowledge of Sequencer and Maya to troubleshoot and resolve cinematic challenges.
• Work in partnership with artists, technical artists, engineers, and designers, both internally and externally, to facilitate efficient workflows and pipelines.
• Document, uphold, enforce, and provide guidance on asset integrity, conventions, and performance budgets.
• Produce and maintain clear and relevant documentation on the usage of technical art workflows and best practices.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in game development.
• Proficient in Unreal with expertise in Sequencer, Blueprints, character design, MetaHumans, Control Rig, LODs, and performance optimization.
• Intermediate experience in Python scripting, specifically in creating tools for artists and pipelines in Maya and/or Unreal using a Qt framework.
• Strong production experience in modeling, rigging, and animation, with a solid understanding of the complete CG pipeline.
• Familiarity with game performance evaluation tools to analyze CPU, GPU, and memory performance across various target platforms.
• Background in rigging for games or film.
• Intermediate skills in C++ with experience in Maya and/or Unreal.
