Senior Technical Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• **Role Overview**

• You will be responsible for the pipeline that integrates external data into our game seamlessly and efficiently, ensuring that the game maintains its visual integrity where it matters most, while adhering to technical limitations.

• As a proactive and hands-on technical artist, you quickly adapt to new technologies and address potential issues proactively, ensuring that technical art challenges are identified early. You will collaborate closely with the team to assist with the technical implementation and management of both in-house and outsourced assets.

• **Key Responsibilities**

• 1 - Asset Pipelines

• You create and develop the pipeline that efficiently incorporates external data sources into the game. As the volume of updates increases, you ensure that the pipeline remains smooth and free of bottlenecks that could delay the transition from source to player.

• 2 - Real-Time Content, Shaders, and Performance

• You contribute to achieving the desired visual standards for the game while operating within budget and constraints. You design shaders and materials, assist with VFX, rigging, and animation, and profile and optimize assets and scenes for performance and minimal load times.

• 3 - Working with The Team and Setting Standards

• You serve as the go-to person for the team regarding technical art inquiries. You provide realistic assessments, identify risks early, and collaborate closely with the entire team, as well as our external partners, ensuring that the team's ambitions align with the capabilities of the engine.

• Proven experience as a Technical Artist specializing in Unreal Engine within the gaming industry

• Strong background in managing pipelines and workflows within a team environment

• Exceptional technical expertise in creating scripts and workflows

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the video game development process

• A quick prototyping and iterative approach complemented by strong analytical skills

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities across disciplines

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills aligned with project objectives

• Outstanding creative thinking skills to solve technical challenges
