This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the main technical advisor for opportunities that involve intricate system solutions integrating Banner platforms with industrial network systems.
• Spearhead initiatives to advocate for best practices related to complex solutions within the Banner sales team.
• Create reference materials, white papers, and support videos aimed at enhancing the customer experience and sharing knowledge internally.
• Offer both pre-sale and post-sale technical assistance to customers.
• Act as a valuable resource for the Business Development Teams, focusing on growth sectors such as Data Center, Aerospace, Mobility, Mining, and Metals.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers and sales personnel.
• Participate in sales calls as required, providing sales materials (such as samples, product information, technical documentation, etc.) and presentations for key accounts and new product opportunities.
• Define, organize, and prioritize customer feedback and suggestions into engineering requirements for future enhancements, collaborating closely with the Business Development Teams (Data Center, Aerospace, Mobile Equipment) and engineering to realize those enhancements.
• Advocate for and train target customers on new products.
• Formulate methods and best practices to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
• Assist in expanding our Bill of Materials (BOM) with customers.
• Timely file detailed trip reports into the SFDC account.
• Report on competing products/applications observed at customer locations.
• Project Coordination: Lead national and global projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful results.
• Consultative Selling: Provide expert consultations to identify customer challenges and propose innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field AND 3 to 5 years of direct field sales experience within a specific market segment, or an Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of direct field sales experience.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with customers at all levels, from factory control engineers to executive leadership.
• Proven expertise in driving sales throughout the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
• Strong background in technical sales or industrial automation is preferred.
• Technically skilled in automation hardware and software is preferred.
• Familiarity with sales reporting, forecasting, and managing sales metrics is preferred.
• High motivation with a strong desire to succeed and surpass targets.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily domestically, with potential international travel throughout North America.
