This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Conduct research on modifications to tax forms.
• Analyze the tax code and the regulatory updates that prompted these modifications.
• Offer guidance to programmers regarding necessary updates to calculations based on research outcomes.
• Evaluate tax return calculations for precision, consistency, and user-friendliness.
• Create and revise documentation to support tax return calculations and related materials.
• Eventually lead or assist team leaders with project initiatives as required.
• Provide support for the products we develop through both direct and indirect communication methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• A CPA designation or master’s degree is advantageous.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in industry or public accounting, focusing on corporate or flow-through income tax compliance, or programming experience.
• Preference for candidates with experience in mid to high complexity pass-through compliance.
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for tax software applications and Microsoft products.
• Equivalent experience at a tax software firm will also be considered.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to quickly acquire new skills.
• Capability to work extended hours as necessary to achieve goals.
