This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conduct initial and/or final evaluations of work products produced by managers, tax seniors, tax staff, and interns.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on behalf of the firm.
• Recognize opportunities to provide value-added services by keeping updated on clients' business requirements.
• Communicate any staffing and workload challenges to Resource Planning.
• Review and validate assignment objectives, scope, and work plans with clients.
• Address work product concerns utilizing firm resources.
• Contribute to the formulation and management of comprehensive strategies to fulfill all client requirements.
• Identify and analyze technical issues to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Mentor and coach staff to enhance their skills and support their career development.
• Seek out and pursue new clients while identifying additional needs to cross-sell other firm products and services to current clients.
• Assist the partner team in strategizing and planning objectives and budgets.
• Prepare and/or review monthly billing statements for clients.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve intricate tax-technical challenges.
• Effectively manage both internal and external expectations concerning alterations in project deliverables and/or deadlines.
• Engage in business development activities by fostering existing relationships and aiding in the identification of new client opportunities.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• Over 10 years of experience in business tax preparation and review.
• Exceptional project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Self-driven individual capable of multitasking and completing assignments within deadlines.
• A strong ambition for career growth and a goal towards potential firm ownership.
• An excellent work ethic complemented by a sense of humor is essential!
