This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the tax team while ensuring proper division of responsibilities.
• Serve as a committed mentor by offering coaching, ongoing feedback, and leadership development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
• Collaborate internally with business unit leaders and engage with cross-functional partners, including Legal, SalesOps, Partnerships, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A.
• Utilize independent judgment and creative thinking to establish long-term functional standards, policies, and procedures that define the tax team's global strategy and contribute to company success.
• Maintain continuous oversight over an expanding presence in 90+ international markets and 15 entities.
• Lead and manage the execution of all tax compliance and provision obligations.
• Conduct thorough reviews of annual and interim global tax provisions, account reconciliations, and associated financial statement disclosures.
• Collaborate closely with external tax advisors globally to ensure our tax positions comply rigorously with local regulations.
• Oversee the review of tax guidance regarding key growth initiatives, including entering new international markets.
• Implement SOX controls related to tax areas, including the preparation of supporting documentation and evidence of control operations.
• Proactively pilot, assess, and integrate AI tools into daily tax workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA designation.
• Over 8 years of relevant corporate tax experience, including time with Big 4 and/or public companies.
• At least 3 years of direct people management experience, including supervising managers.
• Extensive and demonstrated experience in global tax strategy and managing the complexities associated with international scaling.
• Strong hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing ASC 740 income tax provisions, including interim period disclosures.
• Advanced knowledge of complex corporate tax principles and accounting standards.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a remote setting, with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Master’s degree in Taxation (MST) or JD (requires 6+ years of relevant experience).
• Significant experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
• A discretionary bonus typically awarded annually.
