This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert within the business unit and shares expertise with others.
• Provide recommendations regarding internal departmental procedures.
• Identify business opportunities for our clients as well as for CBIZ.
• Take on significant client responsibilities as a trusted advisor, relied upon for insights into industry trends, recognizing client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate potential solutions to clients and the team.
• Oversee staff on engagement deliverables (including financial statements, tax returns, workpapers, etc.); conduct technical and strategic reviews as part of the final engagement review team to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
• Collaborate with upper management on new client development; participate in client meetings, proposal presentations, and achieve individual cross-serving objectives.
• Manage billing and realization for assigned clients; create an overall engagement budget and clarify any variances.
• Comprehend the Qualified Plan needs of clients (as applicable).
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff; practice effective listening and communication.
• Strive to develop responsible and skilled staff by conducting performance feedback and evaluations.
• Foster a team environment; demonstrate support for management decisions and contribute to a positive culture.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
• 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Must possess an active CPA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage all facets of client engagements.
• Capability to meet deadlines, handle multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks as needed.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all organizational levels, internally and externally.
• Proficient in the use of relevant technology.
