This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate and partnership clients with revenues ranging from $0 to $100M across various sectors, including Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Products, and international enterprises.
• Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely completion of tasks and that all deliverables adhere to Orbiss's quality standards.
• Collaborate directly with the Director on intricate and high-stakes client projects.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns, encompassing consolidations and international forms such as 5472, 5471, 8865, 8858, 1042-S, and FinCEN 114.
• Conduct initial reviews of returns prepared by junior staff, offering clear, actionable feedback.
• Remain updated on U.S. federal and international tax changes pertinent to cross-border structures.
• Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering their technical growth through practical support and feedback.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative team atmosphere and uphold Orbiss's commitment to high standards and ongoing improvement.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in tax, with a strong emphasis on either International Taxation or Business/Corporate Tax.
• Practical experience in a mid-sized CPA firm with an international clientele, comparable to BDO, Grant Thornton, or similar organizations.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of U.S. corporate and partnership tax compliance.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing international tax forms (5472, 5471, 8865, 8858, 1042-S, FinCEN 114).
• Excellent time management skills — capable of meeting deadlines or proactively communicating challenges as they arise.
• High standards of integrity and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive client information.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Strong Assets.
• CPA certified or in the process of obtaining CPA designation.
• Experience advising on cross-border structures, including inbound and outbound U.S. tax planning.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment utilizing process automation tools.
