This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
β’ Deliver compliance and consulting services to BT Partners.
β’ Conduct technical assessments of complex individual tax returns and all associated tax documents.
β’ Oversee multiple engagements that provide proactive tax planning and strategic consulting.
β’ Enhance technical expertise by applying recent developments to intricate situations.
β’ Ensure a positive client experience as the main point of contact for approximately 75 clients.
β’ Commit to your professional growth through individual efforts and participation in firm-wide learning and development initiatives.
β’ Foster the growth and development of team members by embracing the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, assisting associates in achieving their professional objectives.
β’ Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or a related business field; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred.
β’ CPA or EA designation is highly preferred; eligibility for CPA is required.
β’ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in tax return review and planning for high net worth individuals.
β’ Experience with multi-state tax compliance for individuals, including knowledge of composite, withholding, and pass-through entity taxes.
β’ Background in providing federal tax compliance and consulting services within a professional services firm.
β’ At least two (2) years of supervisory experience, with a focus on mentoring and counseling associates preferred.
β’ Proven skills in management, analysis, organization, interpersonal relations, project management, and communication.
β’ Highly proficient in CCH Axcess, PDFlyer, and Microsoft Suite.
β’ Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
