This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and startup clients to address their tax requirements, including support for R&D tax credits.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute client engagements while proactively identifying potential challenges and solutions.
• Prepare Federal and State income tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, and S-Corporations.
• Review mid-level complexity Corporate, Partnership, and S-Corporation tax returns prepared by the tax staff to ensure accuracy.
• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously with various teams to effectively meet client deadlines.
• Stay updated on tax law changes in the U.S. to manage risks and uncover potential planning opportunities.
• Implement tax planning strategies.
• Address and resolve tax controversies.
• Communicate with clients and tax authorities to represent clients as necessary.
• Evaluate and research tax issues to identify solutions for current and new clients as needed.
• Work alongside our internal controller services teams to guarantee smooth and timely delivery to clients.
• Provide assistance as required to complete ad-hoc projects.
• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on entity federal and state income tax compliance.
• A CPA license and/or Enrolled Agent designation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
• In-depth knowledge of tax code with proven experience in resolving complex tax issues.
• Proficient in technology and capable of quickly understanding and utilizing both existing and new software applications.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations with extensive experience in tax compliance using tax software. (Experience with UltraTax and CCH is a plus.)
• General knowledge of R&D tax credits is advantageous.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with a strong focus on task prioritization to meet all deadlines.
