M&A Tax Senior Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee buy-side and sell-side transaction tax engagements.

• Conduct tax due diligence for middle market firms and private equity investors.

• Interpret and apply U.S. federal income tax regulations during tax due diligence processes.

• Draft comprehensive reports outlining diligence findings for clients.

• Manage engagements, which include preparing and presenting tax findings and concepts.

• Guide clients in optimizing opportunities while minimizing risks associated with mergers and acquisitions.

• Provide insights on valuation and deal-structuring options.

• Create and suggest innovative solutions to engagement and transaction challenges while overseeing problem resolution.

• Review and evaluate project databooks and reports created by team members.

• Interact with senior executives from both clients and target companies.

• Counsel clients on exit preparation and address any lingering tax concerns prior to closing.

• Oversee and prioritize team responsibilities, actively consulting with Directors and Managing Directors.

• Engage in multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities.

• Build relationships with existing and potential clients, identify market opportunities, and effectively communicate the value proposition.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.

• Must possess an active CPA or equivalent certification.

• Capability to manage all facets of client engagements.

• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all organizational levels, internally and externally.

• Proficient in relevant technology.

• Willingness to travel as required by business needs.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel and strong proficiency in other MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint.

• Significant experience in project management, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and/or partners for successful project completion.

• Demonstrated capability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced and unconventional work environment is essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
