Senior Systems Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical operations of our trading platform.

• Engage in the engineering process while designing, building, and managing our systems.

• Develop tools for monitoring and automating processes.

• Act as a key contributor to our change management and learning review processes.

• Diagnose issues throughout the entire stack, including hardware, software, application, and network.

• Document existing and future configuration processes and policies.

• Convert customer requirements and anticipated product usage into operational reliability goals.

• Provide guidance to other functions (e.g., development, market operations, business development, subscribers, etc.) on reliability methods, application, and system functionalities.

• Train and mentor the team/company on operational best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or similar configuration management solutions.

• Proficient with Linux, Python, Bash, and Git.

• Background in supporting large, complex, and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of host-side networking.

• Understanding of packet-level network traffic and hands-on experience troubleshooting with packet captures.

• Familiarity with the TCP/IP stack and routing.

• Knowledge of multicast.

• General understanding of Data Center workflows and collaboration with Data Center personnel to implement changes.

• Familiarity with hardware components.

• Experience with Arista and Cisco switches and their command line interfaces.

• Knowledge of Corvil.

• Familiarity with Solarflare and Mellanox products.
