Senior Systems Engineer – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver systems engineering and technical support services for the FAA Systems Engineering and Technical Support Services (SETSS) Program.

• Assist FAA Air Transportation Support operations at various locations.

• Create and sustain systems engineering documentation.

• Aid research and development initiatives as needed within the SETTS program.

• Engage with cross-functional FAA stakeholders and technical teams.

• Provide precise technical documentation and support for program planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science.

• At least 12 to 15 years of pertinent engineering experience.

• Familiarity with or experience in the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS).

• Knowledge of or experience with FAA Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.

• Proficient in Enterprise Architecture and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).

• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, benefits analysis, shortfall analysis, risk analysis, and gap analysis.

• Basic understanding of probability and statistics at the undergraduate level.

• Advanced skills in spreadsheet modeling using Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in technical writing with Microsoft Word.

• Background in supporting program planning and execution.
