Senior Systems Engineer – IT Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, implement, operate, and continuously optimize intricate IT infrastructure components.

• Act as the final technical authority to ensure the stability, security, and standardization of IT services.

• Manage incidents, problems, and escalations up to the last level of support.

• Provide consultation, planning, and technical design support for IT projects.

• Coordinate tasks, schedules, and deliverables for assignments given to service providers and operational business units.

• Serve as the main point of contact for complex technical issues.

• Develop and implement automation solutions, including scripting.

• Independently create and maintain technical documentation.

• Participate in on-call rotations and carry out scheduled work beyond standard business hours.

• Ensure adherence to information security requirements and ISMS policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred, though not mandatory.

• At least 5 years of demonstrable hands-on experience in systems engineering and server/system administration within complex enterprise IT environments.

• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is required.

• Proficiency in German (at least B2/C1) and English (at least B2/C1).

• Extensive knowledge of current market technologies related to virtualization (Proxmox) and backup/restore solutions (Veeam, etc.).

• A strong desire to learn, coupled with high resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced IT environment.

• A structured, goal-oriented, and analytical working approach with a strong sense of ownership.

• Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities, capable of managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.

• Excellent communication skills, a collaborative team-oriented mindset in an international context, and the capability to articulate complex technical topics clearly.
