Senior Systems Engineer – Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical support and expertise during the pre-sales phase to our clients and partners.

• Build a trusted advisory relationship with key strategic customers and partners (CIO, CISO).

• Facilitate updates and enablement for the partner network regarding product advancements.

• Conduct workshops with potential customers or clients focused on product assessments.

• Execute hands-on evaluations to confirm customer proof-of-concept configurations.

• Address requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposals (RFP).

• Provide insights on market trends and product performance to the product management team.

• Write whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other content aimed at customers and partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing accounts within the Defence sector.

• Preference given to candidates with an active or previously held security clearance.

• Experience in the planning, designing, or operating of service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.

• Knowledge of cloud security solutions, including FWaaS, DLP, CASB, RBI, and malware prevention.

• Familiarity with security technologies such as proxies, SSL/TLS, VPNs, Active Directory/SAML/LDAP, and threat prevention and mitigation strategies.

• Understanding of networking and security architectures within the SASE framework.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack and its operations.

• Familiarity with WAN technologies and protocols like MPLS, MPLS-based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, and multicast.

• Experience in architecting and/or managing large-scale, high-performance, and resilient enterprise networking and security solutions.

• Proficient in Linux administration.

• Understanding of best practice architectures for SaaS applications.

• Hands-on experience with public and private cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, and VMware.

• Knowledge of shell scripting and python scripting.
