
Senior System Software Engineer – Kubernetes Fabric Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Create resilient and scalable solutions that integrate Cornelis Networks’ platform and fabric management software with Kubernetes.
• Develop and manage custom Kubernetes Operators and Controllers using Go.
• Design cloud-native orchestration for high-performance fabric services and platform management tools alongside containerized applications.
• Establish comprehensive automated validation frameworks to stress-test the product.
• Enhance Kubernetes to accommodate specialized hardware, scheduling, and networking demands for HPC and AI workloads.
• Work collaboratively with core platform, fabric, and hardware teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to pertinent open-source initiatives within the cloud-native ecosystem.
• Produce technical documentation and advocate for best practices in cloud-native software development.
• Utilize AI-driven tools for code generation, refactoring, and performance enhancement.
• Employ AI-based methods for automated code review, testing, and quality assurance.
• Over 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience in designing and developing Kubernetes solutions, including custom Operators/Controllers using Operator SDK or Kubebuilder.
• Advanced proficiency in Go for systems programming.
• Familiarity with C++ or Python is advantageous.
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming.
• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes architecture, encompassing control plane, CNI networking, and CSI storage interfaces.
• Practical experience with Docker or containerd.
• Experience in integrating existing software platforms or services with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of high-performance data center networking environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with HPC or high-performance networking.
• Familiarity with performance-sensitive, low-latency application environments.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Fluentd.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and deployment pipelines.
• Contributions to Kubernetes or cloud-native open-source projects.
