Senior System Software Engineer, Automotive Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take an essential role in enhancing system software for Nvidia's automotive performance platforms utilizing Safe RTOS.

• Work collaboratively with Hardware Architecture, DriveOS, Power, and Test teams to monitor crucial boot and runtime performance metrics.

• Oversee micro benchmarks and industry-standard benchmarks across IPs to ensure alignment of software and hardware with projected targets.

• Participate in the development of cutting-edge features in automotive profiling tools with the assistance of AI.

• Conduct benchmarking of the hypervisor to guarantee minimal overhead on ARM systems.

• Partner with the ADAS/AV team to optimize the upcoming stack from NVIDIA on Tegra platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• At least 12 years of demonstrated experience in systems or software performance.

• Strong programming skills in C/C++ along with prior experience in the automotive industry.

• Proficiency in Linux and QNX; knowledge of Android is a plus but not essential.

• Deep understanding of benchmarking, boot time optimization, compiler optimizations, and enhancements in runtime performance.

• Familiarity with hypervisors, virtualization, and overhead analysis.

• Experience with profiling tools aimed at enhancing system software efficiency.

• AI/ML experience is highly preferred.
