Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume operational responsibility within the team for the complete server infrastructure — encompassing shared hosting systems (Linux Debian / Apache), vServers, and dedicated servers.

• Lead the growth and ongoing enhancement of systems along with configuration management utilizing Ansible and Docker.

• Oversee monitoring through ICINGA2.

• Establish Proxmox virtualizations.

• Ensure the high availability and security of the mail server architecture (Postfix/Dovecot).

• Take charge of maintenance, security updates, and proactive patch management.

• Organize technical tasks and projects efficiently using Jira.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of substantial professional experience in the web hosting sector.

• Profound understanding of high-availability hosting architectures.

• Extensive hands-on expertise with ICINGA2, Proxmox virtualization, and orchestration/automation using Ansible.

• Senior-level proficiency in Debian-based Linux distributions.

• Experience in setting up and managing mail server infrastructures (Dovecot/Proxmox Mail Gateway).

• Strong knowledge of networking technologies and routing.

• Familiarity with container standards such as Docker.

• Demonstrated experience with Jira.

• Business-fluent German, both written and spoken.

• Proficient technical English.

• High level of reliability.

• Strong sense of personal accountability.
