Senior SW Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to create and develop a high-impact product.

• Design and deliver essential features with intention, meticulous attention to detail, and a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, including shaping requirements, implementation, testing, observability, deployment, and iterative improvements in production.

• Contribute to and help cultivate our engineering culture as the team expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess over 6 years of experience in building and managing complex web applications within production environments.

• You have substantial experience in developing backend systems, preferably in Python using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.

• You are adept at working across the stack, with React experience being a significant advantage, particularly if you enjoy creating thoughtful, user-facing solutions.

• You recognize that velocity and quality are not mutually exclusive; when executed well, they enhance each other.

• You think in terms of outcomes rather than mere implementations and prioritize solving genuine customer issues, even in the absence of perfectly defined requirements.

• You favor practical, well-considered solutions over theoretical ideals and understand when “good and shipped” is more valuable than “perfect and late.”

• You are comfortable taking ownership of features from vague concepts to their impact in production and subsequent iterations.

• You are located in the United States.
