This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership and manage the mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to implement supplier production strategies (from NPI to full production) across Anduril’s diverse business lines.
• Act as a catalyst for the Supply Chain team and the overall commodity strategy, showcasing a strong sense of ownership, proactivity, technical expertise, creativity, self-direction, and courage.
• Assess suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce to determine eligibility for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to ensure suppliers comprehend and adhere to the part quality criteria established by SQE.
• Manage the introduction of new production tooling and lines, as well as development at supplier locations, to ensure materials, processes, and tools meet product performance, quality standards (as defined by SQE), and demand requirements.
• Oversee readiness for capacity expansion and production ramp-up at supplier facilities.
• Establish and facilitate process performance and control (SPC) reviews at supplier sites.
• Identify and implement product and process enhancements, as well as factory layout optimizations at supplier locations, to reduce part costs, mitigate supply risks, eliminate potential defects, and enhance cycle times throughout the product lifecycle.
• Assist SQE with root cause analysis task forces at Anduril by collaborating with the Supply Chain team and suppliers, ensuring the completion of root cause corrective/preventative actions at supplier locations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 6 years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in specific category technical knowledge as relevant, including composites manufacturing, metallurgy, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Ability to work onsite at Anduril locations, including Costa Mesa, CA.
