This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of topline forecasting for Instacart’s Core grocery sector by constructing and maintaining driver-based models that directly relate to business performance and operational factors.
• Conduct proactive deep dives into revenue and unit economics (e.g., LTV, CAC, conversion rates, AOV, contribution margin) to uncover growth opportunities, identify risks, and suggest experiments that enhance forecast accuracy and business results.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Data Science to align assumptions, elevate data quality, establish new metrics, and operationalize insights into actionable roadmaps.
• Create executive-ready materials for leadership, such as narrative memos, dashboards, and scenario/sensitivity analyses that inform strategic priorities, resource allocation, and decision-making trade-offs.
• Manage initiative reporting across marketing, product, and enterprise programs; standardize measurements, track incremental impacts, and ensure clear presentations for weekly growth reviews, monthly business reviews, and ad hoc analyses.
• Work alongside other Strategic Finance teams to evaluate the effects of retailer, supply, and marketing initiatives on Core business performance; support investor relations, create Board materials, and contribute to company-wide planning.
• Continuously enhance and automate models and reporting processes to improve speed, accuracy, and decision-making, while balancing immediate deliverables with long-term scalability.
• Over 3 years of experience in strategic finance/FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to build driver-based financial models, revenue forecasts, and conduct scenario/sensitivity analyses.
• Experience in preparing and presenting executive-ready materials to VP/C-suite stakeholders, with a talent for simplifying complex data into clear business narratives.
• Proven history of managing end-to-end forecasting and performance reporting for a product line, business segment, or revenue stream.
