This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• KPI Definition: Create and uphold a comprehensive set of metrics for SaaS (e.g., ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, Magic Number) to monitor performance across Revenue, R&D, and Support.
• Financial Modeling: Develop and enhance intricate financial models to evaluate revenue streams, customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and the productivity of the sales team.
• FP&A Leadership: Collaborate with the VP of Finance to facilitate the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, integrating real-time insights derived from operational data.
• Deal Strategy: Act as the financial advisor to the Deal Desk and Sales Leadership; assess pricing, deal profitability, non-standard contract terms, and implications for revenue recognition, offering recommendations and input to shape the contract and order form structure.
• Compensation Analysis: Evaluate the ROI of sales compensation plans and GTM organizational structure to ensure alignment with the company's growth objectives.
• Ad-Hoc Strategy: Perform in-depth analyses on specific business inquiries (e.g., new market entry, product margin analysis) to aid executive decision-making.
• CRM to Finance Integration: Lead the integration between GTM systems (Salesforce) and financial systems (ERP/Planning tools).
• Data Governance: Establish the "source of truth" for sales data. Implement quality controls to guarantee the accurate flow of booking and revenue data into financial reporting.
• Process Engineering: Create standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for financial analysis to transition the department from ad-hoc reporting to scalable, automated frameworks.
• Experience: Over 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Sales Operations, coupled with robust analytical expertise in business strategies.
• Industry Background: Previous experience within an Enterprise SaaS company and a background in private equity or investment banking is preferred.
• Technical Stack:
• - Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex modeling) is mandatory.
• - Strong familiarity with Salesforce (reporting, dashboards, object relationships) is crucial.
• - Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Python) and Planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) is a significant advantage.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Math, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. An MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to convert complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives for non-financial stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Product). Strong communication and writing skills. Excellent team collaborator who is self-driven and motivated.
