This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design and implement impactful communication strategies that align with the client’s mission and objectives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create a comprehensive communications campaign that features a strategic communication calendar and roadmap.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to generate communication products and strategies.
• Articulate business value to senior leadership and end users effectively.
• Develop and implement a communication plan and campaign strategy that promotes the adoption of business transformation initiatives.
• Determine quantitative and qualitative metrics for assessing the effectiveness of communication campaigns.
• Collect, analyze, and present communication campaign metrics, utilizing insights to refine strategies as necessary.
• Offer strategic communications guidance and exceptional client service to both the project team and the client’s Program Management Office.
• Ensure adherence to client quality and branding standards.
• Produce a variety of materials including, but not limited to, FAQs, articles, blogs, newsletters, executive summaries, briefings, social media posts, digital or graphic designs, editing, video snippets, communication plans or projects, content strategies, brochures, and other collateral.
• Lead and manage multiple communication initiatives concurrently.
• Identify the best communication tactics for various campaigns and initiatives.
• Distill complex project messages into clear, easily understandable language for the public and media.
• Collaborate with the wider client project team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Work alongside various functional experts to create communication deliverables that effectively convey key messages and resources to target audiences.
• Ensure all communication products meet high-quality standards and that all required deliverables are submitted punctually.
• Report project challenges to both government and corporate stakeholders.
• Prepare and present monthly status reports (MSR) to the client.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic communications.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the capability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and a Common Access Card.
• An active security clearance is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
• Strong facilitation abilities across various management levels.
• Capability to develop strategic messages tailored for diverse audiences.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively convey complex information through emails, SharePoint, and presentations (both online and in person).
• Provide writing samples, such as articles, blogs, newsletters, executive summaries, briefings, tweets, digital or graphic designs, editing, video snippets, communication plans or projects, content strategies, brochures, communication campaigns, and strategic communication calendars/roadmaps.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
