Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop solutions for the creation, deployment, and management of infrastructure for Ping Identity’s cloud-based services.

• Create and implement solutions for software and services on cloud-hosted production infrastructure.

• Evaluate and give constructive feedback on solutions provided by fellow engineers.

• Influence the development and deployment of enterprise software utilizing optimized, automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, construct, and maintain cloud infrastructure and security technologies for resilience, observability, and cost efficiency.

• Engage with various audiences across the organization and share knowledge to foster growth in others.

• Take part in work planning and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Conduct technology assessments and make selections.

• Join an on-call rotation for the upkeep of cloud solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in scalable, distributed systems architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly GCP and AWS.

• Proficient programming skills in Go/Golang at a production level.

• Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.

• Demonstrated experience in defining and executing automated service deployments, encompassing networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management.

• Comprehensive understanding of best practices in deployment automation.

• Experience utilizing Git in a collaborative environment, covering pull requests, branching, pushes, and pulls.

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• In-depth knowledge of networking, including routing, naming, security, network performance, and failure modes.

• Strong understanding of identity and access management.

• Experience in instrumentation and management of automated deployments.

• Capability to resolve customer deployment issues.

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines.
