Senior Staff Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, document, and oversee data center cabinet arrangements and power density to guarantee optimal efficiency and reliability.

• Manage server capacity deployments, incorporating infrastructure with automation to facilitate global scalability and enhanced resource utilization.

• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to ensure alignment on service requirements and hardware integration.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless integration of hardware, software, and network resources.

• Offer expert technical advice and troubleshooting support for intricate data center infrastructure issues, including participation in weekend and holiday on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of practical experience with high-speed networks (10G to 100G+).

• Advanced proficiency in BGP routing and troubleshooting for IPv4/IPv6 within large-scale environments.

• Extensive experience in remote data center operations, including device configuration, fiber debugging, and resolution of patching issues.

• Comprehensive understanding of core networking principles, including TCP/IP stack performance.

• Hands-on experience in IP packet analysis utilizing Wireshark or similar tools.

• Basic knowledge of AI/ML technologies and experience in applying, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage complex priorities across ticketing and inventory systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Relevant organizational experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering.

• Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
