This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The role of Senior Network Engineer requires extensive expertise in security protocols for implementing voice solutions in the field.
• Proven experience in configuring Cisco Routers, Switches, SDWAN, and VXLAN to established standards within a voice environment, ensuring an uptime of 99.999%.
• Familiarity with the NG911 topology and its related equipment.
• Involvement in processes related to network planning, engineering, and architecture.
• Responsible for producing and/or maintaining technical and procedural documentation as assigned.
• Provide second or third-level support for incidents and service requests.
• Deploy and configure network devices according to provided designs and standards.
• Enhance network performance and reliability by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network issues and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects for optimization.
• Protect the network system by establishing and enforcing relevant policies.
• Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in network engineering, including the implementation and maintenance of geographically distributed networks.
• More than 5 years of experience in network security (including firewalls, security tools, threat mitigation, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with platforms in both IPv4 and IPv6 environments, including Cisco SD-WAN Versa, Cisco ISR and ASR Routing platforms, Cisco Nexus 9K Switching, Cisco Catalyst Switching, Cisco NG Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, and VXLAN.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
• Ensure high availability of network services by implementing redundancy, failover configurations, and proactive maintenance strategies.
• Experience with Virtualized Networks such as VMware, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure Cloud Platform.
• Capability to collaborate effectively as part of a distributed team, embracing cultural, geographic, and other diversities.
• Lead network-related projects from inception to deployment, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and offer recommendations for network enhancements.
• Implement and uphold network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption standards.
• Monitor for vulnerabilities to apply necessary patches, updates, or modifications to mitigate risks.
