Senior Staff Engineer, ERP Dynamics Functional – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / Dynamics AX Finance modules.

• Partner with finance stakeholders and business users to collect requirements and convert them into efficient ERP solutions.

• Configure and support essential finance modules, such as General Ledger (GL), Asset Management / Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Budgeting and Forecasting, Bank and Cash Management, Management Reporter, Project Costing, and Manufacturing Costing.

• Set up and maintain the Chart of Accounts, Account Structures, Financial Dimensions, Budget Models, and Financial Reporting frameworks.

• Design and implement solutions for Intercompany Accounting and Financial Consolidation across various legal entities.

• Lead deployments of finance modules, upgrades, and initiatives for multi-country rollouts.

• Conduct discovery workshops, fit-gap analysis sessions, solution design workshops, and reviews of business processes.

• Evaluate finance business processes and suggest industry best practices and improvements.

• Draft Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Functional Specifications, Gap Analysis Documents, Business Process Documents, and Training Materials.

• Assist with data migration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Create and implement end-to-end business scenario test cases and aid in issue resolution.

• Organize training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops for finance teams and business users.

• Collaborate with technical consultants, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

• Provide insights on financial controls, accounting practices, taxation mandates, and compliance standards.

• Ensure timely delivery of solutions that are within scope and aligned with business objectives.

• Remain informed about enhancements in Dynamics 365 Finance, industry trends, and ERP best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of total experience.

• Extensive experience as a Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant.

• Solid finance and accounting background with a thorough understanding of financial processes and controls.

• Practical experience in General Ledger (GL), Asset Management / Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Budgeting and Forecasting, Bank and Cash Management, Management, Project Costing, and Manufacturing Costing.

• Strong proficiency in configuring Chart of Accounts, Account Structures, Financial Dimensions, Budgeting Frameworks, Intercompany Accounting, Financial Consolidations, and Financial Statements and Reporting.

• Familiarity with GAAP and accounting best practices.

• Capability to comprehend and set up country-specific tax policies and regulatory requirements.

• Strong background in Cost Accounting and Cost Management principles.

• Experience in implementing financial solutions for the Manufacturing, Production, and Retail sectors.

• Proven track record of conducting business workshops, gathering requirements, and leading solution design sessions.

• A minimum of 4–5 full Dynamics AX/D365 Finance implementation lifecycle experiences.

• Experience with multi-country rollouts and implementations across diverse legal entities.

• Expertise in creating Functional Specifications, Gap Analysis Documents, Test Scripts, Process Documentation, and Training Materials.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

• Experience in conducting training sessions for business users in global environments.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently within project deadlines.

• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Certification is preferred.

• Experience in global ERP transformation programs is an additional advantage.
