This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Collaborate with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to recognize, develop, and prioritize impactful AI-driven use cases, steering customers toward scalable and effective solutions.
• Serve as a trusted consultant to clients by refining problem definitions, questioning assumptions, and directing technical decision-making towards scalable AI implementations.
• Foster alignment and adoption of solutions by effectively communicating trade-offs, ROI, and long-term architectural consequences to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Design, integrate, and implement AI/ML-based solutions across cloud environments and in-vehicle systems, facilitating end-to-end vehicle-to-cloud use cases with dependable data flow and system interoperability.
• Create and refine AI models, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and production-ready solutions, consistently enhancing performance based on real-world data and customer insights.
• Lead technical discussions and solution evaluations centered on AI feasibility, model performance, trade-offs, and system constraints.
• Recognize risks associated with AI deployment and integration (e.g., data availability, security limitations, model reliability) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Partner with internal teams (AI Platform, Product, Engineering) to improve AI functionalities, model deployment pipelines, and platform scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Over 12 years of experience in AI / Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or analogous fields, with exposure to automotive software or vehicle systems.
• Thorough understanding of machine learning, data analytics, and AI-based systems, including hands-on experience in delivering real-world solutions.
• Experience in designing and managing data pipelines, analytics workflows, and model-driven systems.
• Strong background in deploying and operating software within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or customer-managed infrastructure).
• Experience in integrating platform-based solutions with external systems, data pipelines, and APIs.
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Significant hands-on experience in developing, integrating, and deploying AI/ML-based solutions in production settings.
• Proven capability to influence customer direction and guide technical decision-making in customer-facing roles.
• Experience leading technical discovery, clarifying ambiguous problem spaces, and proposing scalable solution strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capability to operate effectively in uncertain environments and drive clarity, alignment, and execution.
• Experience in customer engineering, solution engineering, or forward-deployed engineering roles is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with contemporary AI methodologies such as Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or data-driven automation is a plus.
