Senior SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Implement and assist in the maintenance of SRE practices within your domain, encompassing SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and postmortem protocols.

• Create, execute, and enhance infrastructure to ensure availability, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Play a key role in our observability framework, enhancing monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing capabilities.

• Automate infrastructure and operational processes (e.g., Terraform, Terragrunt, Kubernetes).

• Support financial operations (FinOps) initiatives by developing tools and insights to optimize cloud expenditures.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance service reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Contribute to architectural choices and advocate for best practices in building resilient distributed systems.

• Share expertise with fellow Infrastructure engineers, contributing to the elevation of reliability and operational standards.

• Evaluate performance hindrances and devise solutions such as scaling strategies, service optimizations, and system debugging.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Experience with high-traffic, distributed systems architectures, and associated tools (service discovery, configuration/secret management, etc.).

• Strong familiarity with at least one Cloud provider (preferably AWS or GCP).

• Proven experience in applying SRE practices (SLOs, incident management, observability, reliability engineering).

• A strong operational mindset with experience in managing production incidents and implementing reliability enhancements.

• Comfortable collaborating with and providing support to other engineers, able to contribute to technical decision-making.

• Ownership-oriented – If something is not functioning properly, you take initiative to improve it without waiting for directives.

• Pragmatic and impact-focused – You find a balance between reliability, delivery speed, and business objectives.
