Senior Specialist, Subcontracts – GPs & T&Cs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Collaborate effectively with Procurement, Legal, and key internal stakeholders to ensure that subcontract provisions are cohesive, appropriate for business, and aligned with the company’s values and objectives.

• Analyze prime contract requirements and convert them into accurately negotiated General Provisions, Terms & Conditions, and mandatory clause flow-downs for suppliers and lower-tier subcontractors.

• Spearhead negotiations with suppliers regarding General Provisions and Terms & Conditions, including crafting customized contract language that meets business needs, reduces risk, and ensures compliant execution.

• Create, maintain, and organize negotiated clause language within company systems, providing buyers and procurement professionals access to approved, practical, and consistent contractual tools.

• Examine government contracts and subcontracts with a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies to guarantee compliant implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant subcontracts experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related subcontracts experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related subcontracts experience in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with government contracts.

• Familiarity with government contracts and procurement principles outlined in FAR/DFARS.

• Capability to research regulatory requirements of customer contracts.

• Proficient in MS Word (Advanced Redlining), Excel, SharePoint/Teams, and the ability to tabulate and chart data using complex data sets.
