This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.
β’ Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and internal stakeholders to ensure that subcontract provisions are coherent, suitable for business, and aligned with the company's goals.
β’ Analyze prime contract requirements and convert them into negotiated General Provisions, Terms & Conditions, and essential clause flow-downs for suppliers and lower-tier subcontractors.
β’ Direct supplier negotiations regarding General Provisions and Terms & Conditions.
β’ Compose tailored contract language to meet business requirements, minimize risk, and facilitate compliant execution.
β’ Create, maintain, and organize negotiated clause language within company systems.
β’ Equip buyers and procurement professionals with approved, practical, and uniform contractual tools.
β’ Evaluate government contracts and subcontracts for adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
β’ Enhance subcontract compliance processes, contractual integrity, audit preparedness, traceability, and regulatory compliance throughout the procurement lifecycle.
β’ Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of relevant subcontracts experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related subcontracts experience.
β’ Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related subcontracts experience in the absence of a degree.
β’ At least 4 years of experience in government contracting.
β’ Extensive knowledge of General Provisions, Terms & Conditions, and regulatory clause compliance within the defense sector.
β’ Proficient in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and modifying contract and subcontract language.
β’ Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, mandatory flow-down requirements, and supplier agreement compliance.
β’ Skilled in interpreting prime contract requirements and assessing clause applicability.
β’ Experience with government contracts and procurement principles as outlined in FAR/DFARS.
β’ Capable of researching regulatory requirements of customer contracts.
β’ Advanced skills in MS Word redlining.
β’ Proficient in Excel, SharePoint/Teams, with experience in tabulating and charting complex datasets.
β’ Strong documentation discipline, keen attention to detail, audit-readiness practices, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
