This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Implement enhancements in policy, technology, and processes for government space technology research and development (R&D) as well as demonstration programs.
• Assist NASA’s Small Spacecraft Technology (SST) and Flight Opportunities (FO) Programs.
• Collaborate with the SST/FO Program Executive and various program personnel.
• Offer recommendations to customize NASA R&D program and project management criteria to expedite flight timelines while maintaining an acceptable risk profile.
• Liaise with Senior NASA staff at centers and headquarters to achieve consensus on customized requirements.
• Methodically identify, suggest, and implement enhancements to program policies and processes.
• Document the processes and policies associated with the program.
• Contribute to strategy, management, and integration operations.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Experience in managing space flight projects or programs.
• Background in risk-tolerant or iterative methodologies for space technology R&D and demonstration.
• Knowledge of standard SST mission components, including spectrum licensing, orbital debris evaluations, and launch safety documentation.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 18 years of pertinent work experience.
