Senior Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Lead sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, select, and onboard suppliers.

• Collaborate cross-functionally during the new product development process to gather requirements, issue and negotiate RFPs/RFQs, and identify the best suppliers.

• Direct negotiations for supply agreements to secure optimal terms while minimizing risk; identify and address instances of contract non-compliance; enter and manage contracts within the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.

• Create and implement a framework for supplier engagement and pricing, ensuring that the Purchasing team has a clear and well-documented structure to execute tactical purchase orders.

• Cultivate strong partnerships with strategic national brand, private-label, and contract manufacturing suppliers.

• Develop and oversee an effective supplier management program to evaluate supply performance.

• Leverage data and analytics to identify and act on cost reduction opportunities across the product portfolio.

• Formulate strategies to source and manage raw material and component requirements to enhance cost efficiency and continuity of supply.

• Stay informed about market trends, commodity pricing, and global economic conditions, adjusting sourcing strategies as necessary.

• Monitor and report on Sourcing KPIs; work collaboratively across functions to identify and pursue performance improvement opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a sourcing role, supporting both internally manufactured and externally procured finished goods; experience in a high-SKU distribution environment is preferred.

• International sourcing experience is essential.

• Experience in medical products distribution is advantageous.

• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
