Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical discovery, architecture design, and proof of concept (PoC) implementation during the pre-sales lifecycle.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to develop persuasive technical value propositions.

• Provide impactful demonstrations, workshops, and proposals customized for C-level and technical stakeholders.

• Build trust and credibility with customers, identifying technical champions and positioning yourself as a strategic advisor.

• Act as a liaison between customers and internal Product and Engineering teams to convey feedback and influence the product roadmap.

• Oversee cross-regional technical initiatives and improve SE tools, processes, and frameworks for global scalability.

• Mentor junior team members, promote technical excellence, and disseminate industry best practices throughout the SE team.

• Maintain expert-level knowledge of LaunchDarkly’s platform, integrations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

• Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and manage technical environments to support enterprise sales activities.

• Convert complex client requirements into scalable, sustainable, and technically robust solutions.

• Represent LaunchDarkly at industry events and customer engagements, traveling as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture role that involves customer interaction.

• Proficiency in areas such as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud architecture, or DevOps.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, with expertise in at least one (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Proven track record in leading and documenting proofs of concept and developing technical and deal champions.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a demonstrated history of sharing thought leadership within the broader industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as PII, PCI, and HIPAA is a plus.
