Senior Solutions Architect – Pre-Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• You are a technical authority who excels at the convergence of technology and business value. Whether it's creating a sophisticated API integration, delivering an engaging demo, or crafting a proof-of-concept that amazes engineers, you have perfected the skill of transforming technical intricacies into customer assurance.

• You relish the challenge of greenfield projects and constructing solutions from the ground up.

• As the initial point of contact, you play a pivotal role in WunderGraph's go-to-market strategy. You serve as the technical advocate that enables potential clients to envision what is achievable.

• You are the trusted consultant who leads them from "intriguing concept" to "let's create this," serving as the link between our product and the real-world challenges faced by our customers.

• You possess the ability to engage with technical stakeholders ranging from senior engineers to CTOs, promoting value and establishing credibility throughout complex evaluation processes.

• You can seamlessly balance technical demonstrations with proof-of-concept implementations, while effectively gathering requirements and assessing competitive positioning.

• You are capable of writing code when necessary, confidently reviewing architectures, and, over time with training, explaining API federation to both developers and VPs of Engineering with equal clarity. Above all, you are deeply committed to understanding the customer, their technical hurdles, and how WunderGraph can uniquely address them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated senior experience in a Pre-Sales Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role within a B2B SaaS environment (preferably involving developer tools, API platforms, or infrastructure products).

• Proven success in supporting transactions of $100K+ with mid-market or enterprise technical purchasers.

• Strong practical technical experience - you can write code, construct prototypes, assess architectures, and troubleshoot issues. Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or comparable backend technologies is an advantage.

• Extensive experience with modern API technologies and distributed systems architecture.

• Solid grasp of cloud-native development practices (Kubernetes, Docker, containers, CI/CD, microservices).

• Outstanding communication abilities - you articulate information clearly, confidently, and credibly, whether addressing a senior engineer or a CTO.

• Experience collaborating closely with sales teams, comprehending deal cycles, and contributing to revenue results.

• You are organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously without oversight.

• You thrive in early-stage environments, are comfortable with uncertainty, and are eager to establish processes where none currently exist.

• Bonus: Familiarity with GraphQL, federated graphs, or API composition.
